Requirements:
 
• College degree, B.S., (M.S.) with agriculture, plant science related-fertilizer focus
• At least two years of agronomist experience with fertilizer products and field trials
• Superior English business communication ability is A MUST (speaking, listening, reading, writing) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-starter, able to proactively resolve problems, and ability to deal with vague/ambiguous business directives
• Attention to detail, dedicated to successful results, and responsible
• Mature, consummate professional at all time, able to work in a high-pressure and fast paced business environment
• Flexible to meet business requirements
• A valid California driver's license and insurance
• Ability to develop long term relationships with growers, distributors, companies, universities, partners, and customers based on technical knowledge and trust
• Mastery of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Various other duties as to be assigned by Managing Director
Responsibilities:
• Field trial planning and management; key goal is to test and develop new fertilizer/bio-fertilizer products
• Meet (and exceed) field trials and product development targets/goals/KPI
• Be the company expert on understanding of U.S. fertilizer market/industry products, pricing, potential opportunities, competition, key trends, research and emerging market forces and product develop strategies and plans for effective R&D, cooperation/field testing, new product/technology/M&A acquisitions
 
• Proactively seek out cooperation/field-testing demonstration farms in the fertilizer industry
 
• Seek out to test and acquire new products/technology/I.P. related to the fertilizer industry
 
• Maintain up to date knowledge of the fertilizer industry, market, and products
 
• Develops, implements, and monitors products, including new products, applications, technology and other opportunities to achieve company product research development objectives
 
• Develop and draft the yearly/quarterly/monthly budget plans
 
• Develop and maintain new business relationships with key companies, university extensions, and other key market influencers
 
• Be responsible for coordinating product registration in U.S. and abroad with Agent
 
• Evaluate market, industry, competitor, and product and technology trends to effectively development product development pipelines plan, forecasts, and long-term product development plans
 
• Fully understand and actively participate in the planning and execution of targeted fertilizer research/testing plans- in particular, the process of defining and developing relationships with targeted research partners, customers, and prospects
 
• Through your relationship with universities, research centers, and companies, you will actively seek out to create new opportunities for research and joint venture product development/new applications
 
• Maintain contact with universities, research centers, and companies to understand their needs so that you can position products and services in an effort for joint development and growth
 
• Keep and use detailed records/databases on products, technologies, and companies to enhance our understanding
 
• Communicate product trends, market opportunities, crop conditions, farmers/growers wants, needs, and concerns
 
• Keep current on fertilizer and agronomic products, trends, problems, services, and resources to sell fertilizer products in an ethical manner 
 
• Relays competitive sales, pricing and marketing information to management in a timely manner

• Fertilizer Sample purchase with multiple dealers nationwide & internationally

 

• Seek out to acquire new products/technology/I.P. related to the fertilizer industry

 

• Maintain up to date knowledge of the fertilizer industry and market
